Program planned tonight on Emmett Till case

A program is planned from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., Kansas City, Kansas, on the 1955 Emmett Till murder case.

Dave Tell, an associate professor of communications studies at the University of Kansas, will describe various memorials to Emmett Till and how they show different narratives of what happened.

Tell co-created the Emmett Till Memory Project.

BPU to meet Feb. 6

The Board of Public Utilities will meet for a work session at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the BPU offices, 540 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
