Public asked to help locate missing person

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating Reanna Deana Brown, who is missing, according to a police spokesman.

Reanna, in her mid-teens, was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue shorts and black shoes. She was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Dec. 7, police stated.

Reanna is 5-6, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Victim of fatal traffic accident identified

Police have identified the victim of a fatal traffic accident on Thursday at South 40th and Wyandotte as Angelo Gage Deperalta, 14, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas.

According to Kansas City, Kansas, police, Deperalta was in a full-size sport utility vehicle that was northbound on South 40th Street on Thursday morning.

The vehicle attempted to stop, but slid into a parked dump truck on the west side of the street, then slid and hit a guard rail on the east side, police stated. The vehicle rolled onto the driver’s side and came to a stop.

Deperalta was ejected and sustained life-threatening injuries, later dying at the hospital, the spokesman stated.

There were three other juveniles, including another male and two females, in the SUV at the time of the accident. The other three had minor injuries.

It was raining at different times on Thursday morning.

The accident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team.

Driver reportedly stabbed after honking horn on Parallel

A bizarre story of possible road rage is told by the Kansas City, Kansas, police chief on social media today.

A woman told police on Thursday that she honked at a car and then went into a parking lot at 47th and Parallel Parkway.

When she got out of her car, she was stabbed in the back by an unknown male with an unknown object, the woman told police.

A Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman stated it appeared the suspect was upset because the woman honked at him.

The woman drove herself to the hospital, where she met with police officers. She is in stable condition, the police spokesman stated.

No one is in custody, according to the spokesman. Police detectives are now collecting video surveillance of the incident, the spokesman stated.
