Northeast master plan on UG Commission agenda for Thursday

The Northeast master plan is on the Thursday, Nov. 29, Unified Government Commission meeting agenda.

The master plan is scheduled to be discussed at the 5 p.m. meeting, with a vote scheduled at the 7 p.m. meeting. The 5 p.m. meeting is in the fifth floor conference room at City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas. The 7 p.m. meeting is in the Commission Chambers, lobby level, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St.

The Northeast master plan is in the UG agenda, at www.wycokck.org, and also is at https://neamasterplan.com/.

Several planning and zoning items are on the agenda.

Also on the Nov. 29 meeting at 7 p.m. is a public hearing on an amended Northwest Speedway STR bond project plan. This public hearing is being held on Nov. 29, with a vote possible taken at a later date, according to the agenda.

Community meeting on Indian Springs to be tonight

A community meeting on a proposal for the Indian Springs site will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Painted Hills Golf Club, 7010 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas.

The meeting is being held by Scavuzzo’s, a food service company that is expanding into a national market. Developers will present a plan and proposal for the site at the meeting. Residents may ask questions after the presentation. The Polsinelli law firm is representing Scavuzzo’s.

The announcement of the meeting was made recently on the Unified Government website. Indian Springs is a former shopping center at 47th and State Avenue, close to I-70 and I-635, in Kansas City, Kansas.
