T-Bones’ group tickets go on sale Dec. 12

Tickets for T-Bones group sales will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Group sales start at 15 tickets, and include but are not limited to the various ticket-only packages, pre-game parties, nightly suite rentals, party decks, birthday parties and other premium seating options.

“These ticket offerings include some of the most unique packages to handle companies, reunions, churches and fan gatherings of any kind and size,” T-Bones vice president and general manager Chris Browne said in a news release. “Special pricing, fun experience-type opportunities and exclusive options. We also can accommodate large corporate ballpark buyouts where you can basically takeover the stadium for a night and make it uniquely your own company appreciation night.”

The 2018 schedule includes the promotional highlights including opening night on May 22, when the T-Bones are hosts to Gary SouthShore.

Returning for this season are nine post-game fireworks shows including July 3 and 4 and Kids Eat Free Mondays.

Throwdown Thursdays are back with $1.50 beers and $1.50 hot dogs – new for 2018.

Also returning this season are Post-Game Kids Run the Bases every Sunday. A full promotional schedule will be announced in 2018.

In addition, groups of 15 or more can enjoy special select level seating for only $5 per person with the T-Bones Select Saver Days, available on the following days: Thursday, May 24; Wednesday, Aug. 8; Wednesday, Aug. 15; and Sunday, Aug. 19.

Sporting KC acquires forward, goalkeeper and draft pick

Sporting Kansas City announced that the club has acquired forward Kenwyne Jones, goalkeeper Alexander Tambakis and a natural fourth-round pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft in a trade with Atlanta United FC.

In exchange, Atlanta United FC acquires midfielder Kevin Oliveira, defender Tyler Pasher and Sporting KC’s natural second-round pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft (No. 36 overall).

Oliveira and Pasher spent most of the 2017 campaign with USL affiliate Swope Park Rangers.

Oliveira played four matches for Sporting KC in all competitions, while Pasher made his lone MLS appearance in May.

Sunday’s transaction between Sporting KC and Atlanta took place during Major League Soccer’s half-day trade window.

Four-vehicle crash results in injuries

A four-vehicle crash at 7 a.m. Dec. 8 on eastbound I-70 just east of Minnesota Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, resulted in injuries.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, the incident started when two vehicles were stopped and partially pulled over on the right shoulder, and partly in the right lane on I-70 near Minnesota Avenue. Another vehicle struck one of the vehicles from behind, pushing it into another one, according to the trooper’s report. Then a fourth vehicle was hit.

A 57-year-old Lawrence, Kansas, woman driving a Nissan Altima was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.

A 55-year-old Basehor, Kansas, man driving a Hyundai Sonata had a possible injury and was taken to a hospital, the report stated.

A 33-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man who was outside of his parked Dodge Dakota was not injured, the report stated.

A Chevrolet Silverado was towed.
