Rollover crash on I-70 began with unsafe lane change
A rollover crash on Thursday morning on I-70 occurred when a vehicle made an unsafe lane change and another one tried to get out of its way.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Chevy Malibu that tried to get out of the way of the other vehicle then struck the inside barrier wall and overturned.
Both vehicles were eastbound on I-70 near the Mill Street exit.
A 24-year-old Kansas City, Mo., woman driving the Malibu was injured and taken to the hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The trooper’s report stated the vehicle and driver that made the unsafe lane change were unknown.
Public asked to help in homicide case at Kensington Park
The public is asked to help with any information they may have about two homicides last night at Kensington Park at 29th and State Avenue.
Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Capt. David Thaxton said anyone with information about the two homicides may call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
Two males were found with gunshot wounds in the parking lot at Kensington Park about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, he said.
There also was a third victim, who is alive, with a possible gunshot wound, he said.
At this time, there is no one in custody in connection with the shootings, he added.
