Residents are asked to carpool, bike to work, delay or combine errands and use water-based paints and cleaners.

Those who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated level of pollutants include the very young, and those with pre-existing respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. People with symptoms should consider consulting their physicians.
