There’s a new restaurant in the Legends area that offers a unique fast-food dining experience.

The place I’m talking about is Zaxby’s, 2035 N. 109th, in Kansas City, Kansas.

What I tried was the chicken club sandwich. Normally I do not order a chicken club that has a breading on it. However, upon the recommendation of the server at the counter, I decided to give it a try.

Normally, a chicken club sandwich would be very spicy and dry. But that was not the case with this chicken club sandwich. It was amazing; it melted in my mouth. The server was right.

I also tried the cheddar bites, which blew me away.

I found the restaurant to be very clean and very well-organized. The staff was very well-trained and very attentive as well.

Normally I’m not a fast-food person unless I am in a hurry. The reason I tried this place is a friend of mine recommended it. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. When I got my order, I found the sandwich to be phenomenal.

The sandwich was filled with flavor, nice and juicy and not dry at all nor spicy. The cheddar bites melted in my mouth. I was very impressed.

Normally I am not a fast-food person nor do I recommend very many, but not in this case. Zaxby’s is a fast-food restaurant with style. The service is phenomenal and it is very clean and well-organized. I give this place five stars on everything, food service and cleanliness. They are reasonably priced. It’s truly a place you can take the whole family.

BPU customers without power down to 370

There were about 370 Board of Public Utilities customers without power as of 1 p.m. today, according to a BPU spokesman.

Many of the outages are individual homes, the spokesman stated. Almost 30 percent of all BPU customers were without power at the height of a thunderstorm on Saturday night.

Currently, BPU and additional contractor crews are working to restore power to the remaining 370 customers, according to the spokesman.

More than 40 crews are focusing efforts on trying to get all power restored to everyone who can have power by the end of the day if possible, the spokesman stated. Some crews may be working through the night.

Customers whose meters were pulled off their homes must contact a licensed electrician for repairs before power can be restored, according to the spokesman.

Those who do not have power or are having problems with their electricity may call the BPU outage line at 913-573-9522 or they may email [email protected].
