Driver discusses current race cars

Jamie McMurray discussed current race cars during a news conference today at the Kansas Speedway. He is entered in the Go Bowling 400 Monster Energy Cup series race Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Jamie McMurray with the McDonald’s racing team spoke about the new race cars with all the electronics that they have now.

McMurray, who drives a Chevrolet with Chip Ganassi Racing, was in the eighth position following practices this morning at the Kansas Speedway.

Qualifying for the Monster Energy Go Bowling 400 race was scheduled for 5:45 p.m. today at Kansas Speedway.

Practices were held this morning in Kansas City, Kansas, for the Go Bowling 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Trucks will race tonight in the Toyota Tundra 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at 7:30 p.m. at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.

In the first practice run of the Kansas Speedway’s Go Bowling 400, Martin Truex Jr., sponsored by Auto-Owners Insurance Toyota out of Mayetta, N.J., got the highest score.

After the final practice today, Kyle Busch was in first position, followed by Kyle Larson and Truex.

Later, Dale Earnhardt Jr., who drives a Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports and is sponsored by Mountain Dew, spoke regarding what it takes to be a NASCAR driver.

Earnhardt, in ninth position after the final practice, said it can be very grueling, especially in today’s world.

Practices were held this morning in Kansas City, Kansas, for the Go Bowling 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Also scheduled is the Toyota Tundra 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at 7:30 p.m. today at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.
