I-35 ramps, lanes to close today in Kansas City, Mo.

Guardrail work will cause a series of ramp and lane closures along I-35 near downtown Kansas City, Mo., according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

All work is weather dependent.

Locations of closures and times:

•The ramp will close from Southwest Trafficway to northbound I-35 from 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31.
•The right lane will close on northbound I-35 between Jarboe Street and West 25th Street from 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31.
•The left lane on northbound I-35 between Jarboe Street and West 25th Street from 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, through 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1.
•The ramp will close from southbound I-35 to Broadway from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb 1, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb 2.
•The ramp from southbound I-35 to Southwest Trafficway from 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, through 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3.

Motorists are reminded by MoDOT to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.

Sporting KC to play preseason game Tuesday in Arizona

Sporting Kansas City will meet the San Jose Earthquakes on Tuesday in the club’s first match of the 2017 preseason, presented by Children’s Mercy.

Kickoff is set for noon CT at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Ariz., with live, in-game updates available on Twitter via @SportingKC.

In addition to facing San Jose on Tuesday, Sporting Kansas City will train Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Kino Sports Complex, Tucson, Ariz.

Sporting Kansas City’s Benny Feilhaber and Graham Zusi have joined the U.S. Men’s National Team for January camp with newly appointed head coach Bruce Arena. Both players featured in Sunday’s 0-0 draw versus Serbia and will remain with the side for Friday’s international friendly against CONCACAF rival Jamaica, set to kick off at 6 p.m. CT at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn. The match will be televised nationally on FS1 and UniMas as the U.S. plays its final game before continuing FIFA World Cup qualifying in late March.

BPU to meet Feb. 1
