Today’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 62, according to the National Weather Service.

It will be windy, with a south southwest wind of 9 to 13 mph, the weather service said.

Through the region, the strong southerly winds will gradually abate this morning, according to the weather service.

While isolated storms will be possible throughout the day across portions of the region, no severe weather is expected, the weather service said.

After two days of mild weather, temperatures will drop on Wednesday into the 40s.

Tonight, expect a low of 37 with a southwest wind of 6 to 8 mph, the weather service said.

Tuesday, the high will be near 55 with mostly sunny skies, according to the weather service. A light and variable wind will become west northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday night, the low will be around 33 with partly cloudy skies, the weather service said, and a west wind of 6 to 8 mph.

Wednesday, the high will be near 44, with partly sunny skies, according to the weather service. A west wind will be 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday night’s forecast is partly cloudy with a low of 29, the weather service said.

Thursday, expect sunny skies and a high of 43, according to the weather service. Thursday night, the low will be around 26.

Friday, there will be a high of 42, with mostly sunny skies, the weather service said. Friday night, the low will be around 25.

Saturday’s forecast is partly sunny, with a high of 43, the weather service said.

Police investigate homicide in 1200 block of Ruby

Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating a homicide at 10:42 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 1200 block of Ruby Avenue.

A police spokesman said officers responded to a call to check on a man who was lying on a bridge in the 1200 block of Ruby Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.

When they arrived, officers found a man of unknown age, who was dead from an apparent gunshot wound, the police spokesman said.

The identity of the victim is not being released until there is positive identification and family notification, according to the spokesman.

The Kansas City, Kan., Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
