Several planning and zoning items are on the 7 p.m. agenda.

The UG Commission also will meet at 5 p.m. tonight in the fifth floor conference room to discuss UG boards and commissions, followed by an Encode demonstration.

Among the items on the 7 p.m. agenda are new disciplinary rules involving UG employees who do not comply with the UG’s policy on concealed carry of weapons; changes to the UG’s block party permit policy; a change of zone for the Schlitterbahn East retail development at 1111 N. 98th St.; and renewal of a special use permit for a shelter to provide care for children in police protective custody, at 6031 Nogard Ave.

Also at the Sept. 29 meeting, there is a public hearing scheduled for the Wyandotte County Library budget for 2017. According to UG officials at an earlier meeting, this hearing was required because of a clerical error. No changes were planned to the budget.
