Atchison wins Wyandotte’s homecoming game, 52-12

Storms in tonight’s forecast

A round of thunderstorms will move in Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

These storms could bring some gusty to damaging winds and heavy rain, which could cause some isolated flooding, the weather service said.

Storms should move out of the area by early afternoon Sunday, according to the weather service.

On Saturday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., according to the weather service. The high will be near 86, with a light south southeast wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Saturday night, there is a 90 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 68, according to the weather service, and a south wind of 3 to 6 mph. Between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible.

Sunday, there is a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 71, and the wind will become north northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.

The low will be around 52 on Sunday night, according to the weather service.

Monday’s forecast is sunny with a high near 69, and a northwest wind of 3 to 8 mph, the weather service said.
