Monday’s sunny skies to be followed by showers on Tuesday

Sunny and 65-degree temperatures are in Monday’s forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday night, the low will be about 44, with a north northeast wind of 5 to 7 mph becoming east southeast after midnight, the weather service said.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday, the weather service said. There is also a threat of damaging winds and large hail on Tuesday.

The high Tuesday will be near 72, with a southeast wind of 7 to 17 mph gusting as high as 24 mph, according to the weather service. There is a 20 percent chance of rain during the daytime, which increases to 60 percent Tuesday night.

Between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible on Tuesday night, the weather service said. The low will be 51, with a south wind of 10 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds may gust as high as 21 mph.

Wednesday, expect a high of 60 with partly sunny skies, the weather service said. A west northwest wind will be 11 to 20 mph, gusting as high as 28 mph. Wednesday night’s low will be around 40.

Thursday, the forecast is sunny with a high near 66, according to the weather service.

A red flag warning is in effect from noon through 7 p.m. April 3, according to the National Weather Service.

With high winds, low relative humidity, dry weather and warm temperatures, the danger of fire is high, according to the weather service.

Residents are asked to avoid open burning today, the weather service said.

Today’s high is expected to be near 77 today, with sunny skies, according to the weather service. The southwest wind will be 18 to 24 mph with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Tonight, the low will be around 49, and a southwest wind of 6 to 14 mph will become northwest after midnight, gusting as high as 22 mph, according to the weather service.

Monday, skies will be sunny with a high of 65, and a north northeast wind of 6 to 8 mph, the weather service said. Monday night’s low will be around 45.

Tuesday, the high will be near 73, and a south wind of 9 to 14 mph will increase to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon, according to the weather service. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Tuesday night, there is a 60 percent chance of precipitation with a low of 50 degrees, the weather service said.
