Three students from Wyandotte County were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa.
Students on the dean’s list earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester and were enrolled as full-time students.
Wyandotte County students on the list included:
• Rachel Bieniecki, a business administration major from Bonner Springs, Kan.
• Timothy Bloom, a human services major from Kansas City, Kan.
• Kayla Curran, a psychology major from Kansas City, Kan.
Founded in 1857, Upper Iowa University is a private, not-for-profit university providing undergraduate and graduate degree programs to about 5,800 students.
The Kansas City, Kan., Public Schools is administering a Community and Staff Survey to gauge perceptions of KCKPS, and to understand how the district is doing in terms of implementing its mission, vision and goals, a spokesman said.
All community members are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the online survey. Responses are anonymous and will be kept in strict confidence, the spokesman said. It takes only about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Friday, there will be partly sunny skies with a high near 47, the weather service said. A light and variable wind will become south southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 28, according to the weather service.
Saturday, skies will be mostly sunny with a high of 45, according to the weather service. Saturday night’s low will be around 32 with mostly clear skies.
Sunday, expect mostly sunny skies with a high of 48, the weather service said. Sunday night, the low will be around 28.
