KCKCC to be host of OnPoint Hoops Academy at 4 p.m. Saturday

Kansas City Kansas Community College’s home men’s game with OnPoint Hoops Academy Saturday will start at 4 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. as previously announced, according to an announcement.

Learn to sew at the library
A sewing and quilting class for beginners or those who want to learn more will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 2, at the West Wyandotte Library auditorium, 1737 N. 82nd, Kansas City, Kan. The program is for those who are ages 10 and older. Registration is requested to the library. More sewing classes are scheduled on Saturdays. For more information call 913-596-5800.

Children’s program to focus on science, technology, engineering and math

A children’s program of stories and crafts will be held from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Main Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, 625 Minnesota, Kansas City, Kan., in the story time – craft room. Stories and music activities will focus on science, technology, engineering and math.

Free family film showing offered
“Shaun the Sheep,” a children’s movie about sheep that are having an adventure, will be shown from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at the South Library, Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, Meeting Room A, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The movie is for families with children of all ages.
