Double shooting reported

A double shooting was reported on Wednesday evening at the 2900 block of N. 56th, according to Kansas City, Kan., police.

The injuries were not life-threatening, police reported.

A police spokesman said the shooting occurred a little after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Two juveniles were shot, one in the leg and the other in the arm, and they suffered minor injuries, the spokesman said.

No one is in custody as of midday Thursday, the spokesman said.

Police identify homicide victim

Kansas City, Kan., police have identified a homicide victim from a shooting on Wednesday night near 9th and Central.

The police spokesman said the victim was Andrew P. Harmon, 37, of Kansas City, Kan.

Officers responded about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, to a shooting at 28 N. 9th St., the spokesman said. When they arrived, officers found Harmon outside, where he had suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the face, the spokesman said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.

The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting. Police asked anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
