An accident was reported on I-70 eastbound at I-435 around 9 a.m. Thursday, according to KC Scout.
The right lane was closed as a result of the collision, KC Scout stated.

Friday night, the low will be around 66, with a south wind of 14 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph, according to the weather service.
The forecast for Saturday is showers and thunderstorms likely, with a high near 80, the weather service said. The south wind will be 13 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Saturday night, showers and thunderstorms are likely, with a low of 66, the weather service predicted.

Man dies of gunshot wounds in KCK
A man in his early 30s was found inside a vehicle in the 3400 block of North 59th Terrace with apparent gunshot wounds, and later died at a hospital, according to Kansas City, Kan., police.
Police had responded to a shots fired call about 1:39 a.m. Thursday, May 14, a police spokesman said.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition and later died as a result of the gunshot wounds, according to the spokesman.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until there is positive identification and family notification.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
