BPU to meet June 3

The Board of Public Utilities will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the BPU offices, 540 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan.

On the agenda for the work session will be an update from the general manager and board, followed by a closed 45-minute session to discuss litigation.

The regular BPU meeting will begin at 6 p.m. June 3.

On the agenda for the meeting are a time for visitors to speak; an update from the Wyandotte Economic Development Council; the April financial report and other reports; board comments, general manager comments, and a closed session.

Free summer movies offered June 2-4

Free family-friendly movies will be offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. at the Legends 14 Theatres in Kansas City, Kan.

The free movie on June 2-4 will be “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit.” The movie is rated G. Doors open at 9 a.m., all ages may attend.

Seating is limited to availability on a first-come-first-serve basis. The schedule is subject to change. Current feature films are not included in the free admission.
