Kansas City Kansas Community College forward Eirenei Alesana will continue her basketball career at the College of St. Mary in Omaha, Neb.
A 5-10 sophomore from Long Beach, Calif., Alesana helped KCKCC achieve a 52-12 record in her two seasons.
“She will be a great addition to the St. Mary program,” said KCKCC coach Valerie Stambersky. “She was such a good teammate and worked hard every day here at KCKCC. I’m very happy for her; I know she will find success there.”
Shooting 48.3 percent from the field, Alesana averaged 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds as a sophomore after averaging 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds as a freshman.
