KCK Women’s Chamber to meet May 13

The Kansas City, Kan., Women’s Chamber of Commerce will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the West Wyandotte Branch Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., Kansas City, Kan.

Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m., with a lunch and program planned from noon to 1 p.m.

The cost of lunch will be $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.

Rachel Merlo of Google will speak about Google Fiber and the Start-Up Village in the Kansas City area.

There will be a fundraiser for the group’s scholarship fund.

More springtime weather continues today, according to the National Weather Service.
Today’s high will be near 68, and there will be mostly sunny skies, the weather service said.

Tonight, the low will be 48.

On Wednesday, the high will be near 71 with mostly sunny skies, according to the weather service. Wednesday night, the low will be about 47.

Skies will be sunny with a high near 72 on Thursday, and mostly clear with a low of 48 on Thursday night, the weather service said.

Friday, there will be mostly sunny skies with a high near 73, according to the weather service.

Thunderstorms could make their return on Saturday night, and could last until early next week, the weather service said. They are not expected to be severe.

There’s a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms Saturday night, and thunderstorms could continue Sunday and Monday, the weather service said.
