Leavenworth Road Association to meet March 10

The Leavenworth Road Association will hold a dinner meeting Tuesday, March 10, at Eisenhower Recreation Center, 2901 N. 72nd, Kansas City, Kan.

A potluck dinner and social hour will be at 6 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7 p.m.

The guest speaker will be a hearing specialist from Sam’s Club. Those attending may bring a covered dish to share.

There is not an organized candidate forum, but all candidates who want to speak will be allowed to speak at this meeting.

Police seek suspects who stole more than $50,000 at KCK business

The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying three to four suspects who committed a burglary, at Advantage Metals, 1015 Packard St., Kansas City, Kan.

According to police, this incident began late Saturday evening, Feb. 28, and continued into early Sunday morning at the Armourdale area business.

The suspect, seen in this photo furnished by police, is heavily dressed, wearing gloves, and has a mask covering his face.

The surveillance video was able to capture the suspects breaking into the business, enabling them to steal the contents of an ATM machine containing more than $50,000, police said.
