Stolen vehicle used to ram into business in Edwardsville

A vehicle stolen from a business in Fairfax on Monday was used later to ram into a business in Edwardsville.

The vehicle had been inside a locked fence in Fairfax and had been driven through the gate.

It is the second such theft of a vehicle in the Fairfax area within the last month, according to the Fairfax Industrial Association. In that other incident, the vehicle also was taken from behind a locked gate and was used to drive through the gate, and ram into a business in Missouri.

Thunderstorm rumbles through area

A thunderstorm moved through Wyandotte County on Wednesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, the chance of showers and thunderstorms could continue through 2 p.m.

Wind gusts are possible with the storm, and new rainfall could be from a tenth to a quarter of an inch, and higher in some areas, according to the weather service.

After today’s storm, skies should remain clear until Thursday night, when there is another chance of thunderstorms, mainly after 1 a.m. The storms may continue Friday night.

The weekend forecast for Saturday and Sunday appears sunny with the highs in the 70s.
