Homicide victim identified

The victim of a homicide on Sept. 19 in the 100 block of North 10th Street has been identified.

A police spokesman said the victim was Jerry L. Sport, 33, a resident of Kansas City, Kan.

The incident remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
