Wyandotte County Fair continues
It’s the last day of the Wyandotte County Fair, held from noon to 10 p.m. at the fairgrounds at 13700 Polfer Road, Kansas City, Kan. (east of K-7 and Polfer Road). For more information, see https://wyandotteonline.com/today-at-the-fair/.

Live at Legends free concert to be July 26
The Legends Outlets, I-70 and I-435, will sponsor free family friendly concerts on some Saturday evenings during July and August in front of the center courtyard fountain. Perpetual Change will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 26. The Live at the Legends summer concert series will feature local and regional talent performing popular pop, classic rock and country hits from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and today. The concert series will take place at the center of the Civic Courtyard Fountain in front of Phoenix Theaters Legends 14.

Summer concert to be July 26 at Legends
Dave and Buster’s Summer Concert Series will continue at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 26, on the rooftop patio at The Legends Outlets. Odyssey Road will perform from 9 p.m. to close July 26. Different bands will play on Saturdays through September.

Show N’ Shine Truck and Car Show to be July 26
The Show N’ Shine Truck and Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 26 at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, 126th and State, Bonner Springs. A $3 admission donation is requested. For more information call 913-721-1075 or visit www.AgHallofFame.com.

Health Fair planned July 26
A Health Fair is planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at 730 Osage Ave., Kansas City, Kan., by the Armourdale Renewal Association. Free health screenings such as dental, blood pressure, adult health risk assessments, BMI, and glucose. There also will be information provided on several topics. Several organizations are participating.

Christmas in July event planned
The Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department will have a Christmas in July event from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. July 26 at Wyandotte County Lake, 91st and Leavenworth Road. The event will include activities for children, a disc jockey, food, and a parade of pontoon boats at 8:15 p.m. The event is free to the public.

5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Hedricks Petting Zoo, Hedricks Camel Rides, Pony Rides and Pictures
6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Hedricks Pig Races
6 to 7 p.m. Sagasu Family Martial Arts Demonstration, Free Stage Tent
Noon to 11 p.m. Helicopter Rides ($40), weather permitting
6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Free Magic Show, Red Barn
6:30 p.m. to dusk, Hot Air Balloon Rides, free, weather permitting
7:15 p.m. Bucket Calf Parade
7:30 p.m. Livestock Auction
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Glory Road Prairie Gospel Singers concert, Free Stage Tent
6 p.m. Arena, Mud Run, admission charge is $12 for adults and $5 for children.

Admission to the fair is free and parking is $5. There is a charge for carnival rides, arena events and concessions. Coolers, open containers and firearms are not allowed at the fair.

T-Bones to hold tryouts Saturday for Home Run Challenge

The T-Bones will hold an open tryout at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, Kansas City, Kan.

Three contestants will advance to the first round of the softball Home Run Challenge post-game Aug. 3.

Contestants should bring their own bat, pitcher and $10, which will include a general admission ticket to the game and a $5 donation to Harvesters.

The number of contestants will be capped at 100 persons.

The Home Run Challenge will start after the conclusion of the 5:05 p.m. Aug. 3 game at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

Jose Canseco, Oakland A’s slugger, will make an appearance to participate in the Home Run Challenge Aug. 3. The event is a benefit for Harvesters.

Canseco, along with professional softball home-run hitter Jeremy Isenhower, will participate in the second and final round of the softball Home Run Challenge.

One of the contestants from the first round will advance to the finals to square off against Canseco and Isenhower.
